Job Description: Motion Control EngineerWe are looking for a highly talented Motion control Engineer, with a strong experience of servosystem design, test and integration to join our unique Motion team.What’s in it for you?High level theory and practical hands-on work using state-of-the-art technology. You'll enjoy working with academic institutions.Our Group:Motion and Control group develops high end multi axis motion systems that drives PDC applications. The group members incorporate multidisciplinary fields (Physics, Control, Electronics, Mechanics & SW) into advance Technology products.What you'll be doing:End to End responsibility for the Development process - architecture design, specifications definition, concept & feasibility tests, technology and vendor selection, modeling and simulating, motion profiles and control design, lab tests, system integration, Configuration control & Serial production transition.Responsibility for the Development plan, timeline & budget.Work closely with multiple groups across the organization – Elec, Mech, SW, Operation, Manufacturing & Support.Lead periodic / ad-hoc technical review meetings.What should you have?Control Engineer – B.Sc in Electrical / Mechanical engineering with control expertiseExperience – at least 5 years of management servosystem design, test and integrationStrong theoretical control knowledge – linear / non-linear systems, friction, robust systemsExperience with Motion control simulationFamiliarity with motion tachylogias – motors, bearings, sensors, controllersExcellent English skills – speak, write, readPrecision systems experience – advantageM.Sc in engineering with motion experience – advantageWho we are?Applied Materials Israel is home to the Process Diagnostics and Control business unit (PDC).
