The Supplier Account Manager is responsible for managing strategic relationships with assigned suppliers to ensure cost, quality, and delivery performance aligning with organizational goals. This role involves end-to-end supply chain engagement, supplier qualification, and risk mitigation for machined componentsKey ResponsibilitiesIdentify, qualify, and develop strategic suppliers for Advance Materials: Ceramics, Graphite, Quartz, etcBuild and maintain strong relationships with assigned suppliersConduct regular supplier capability/capacity assessments to support Applied Materials demand and mitigating supply chain risksMeasure supplier KPI's covering cost, quality, Delivery and Lead time.Identify alternate sources to enhance capacity, mitigate supply risks and ensure continuityContinuously evaluate market trends, cost structures and identify opportunities for cost reduction and maintain competitive pricingNegotiate commercial terms and contracts with suppliers that provide the structure for all business relationships between Applied Materials and the supply baseCollaborate with engineering teams to qualify new suppliers and materials meeting the cost targets and material specificationsAct as the escalation point for supplier issues and drive resolutionAligns and implements commodity strategiesEngages new supplier introduction and/or disengagement requirements to/from the Applied Materials supply baseSupport resolution to systemic supply chain issues affecting quality, cost, delivery or lead-timeSkills:Strong negotiator and ability to read people quickly and adapt to complex situationsStrong communication skills – written & verbalAbility to read technical drawingsAbility to develop strong relationships in a matrixed organization to influence multiple BU's and drive change, partnership and collaborationCommunicate in a clear, concise and timely manner (both verbal and written) to operate and collaborate effectively.Experience working with people remotely and ability to leverage technology and influence appropriately in a remote and global working environment.Experience working on a global scale with a variety of cultures with sound knowledge of logistics & customs regulation (Import/export)Demonstrated ability and passion to solve problems with data driven, rigorous approach.Resourceful with a strong work ethics and excellent execution of projects and objectives.Experience:Engineering Degree in field of Advance materials/Ceramics/Mechanical/Production Engineering10+ years of Experience in Manufacturing, Sourcing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Project Management and/or relevant industry certification(s) preferredStrong manufacturing process knowledge of Ceramic industry5+ years of Leading commercial large scale negotiation with large scale suppliersPreferred experience working in start-up environment for establishing new supply chain ecosystems targeting domestic India marketAdditional InformationTime Type:Full timeEmployee Type:Assignee / RegularTravel:Yes, 20% of the TimeRelocation Eligible:YesApplied Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and develop strategic suppliers for Advance Materials: Ceramics, Graphite, Quartz, etc
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned suppliers
  • Conduct regular supplier capability/capacity assessments to support Applied Materials demand and mitigating supply chain risks
  • Measure supplier KPI's covering cost, quality, Delivery and Lead time.
  • Identify alternate sources to enhance capacity, mitigate supply risks and ensure continuity
  • Continuously evaluate market trends, cost structures and identify opportunities for cost reduction and maintain competitive pricing
  • Negotiate commercial terms and contracts with suppliers that provide the structure for all business relationships between Applied Materials and the supply base
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to qualify new suppliers and materials meeting the cost targets and material specifications
  • Act as the escalation point for supplier issues and drive resolution
  • Aligns and implements commodity strategies
  • Engages new supplier introduction and/or disengagement requirements to/from the Applied Materials supply base
  • Support resolution to systemic supply chain issues affecting quality, cost, delivery or lead-time
