Job Description

Position OverviewAptiv is seeking a GTO US Customs Analyst to support its U.S. import and export operations. This role is critical in ensuring customs compliance, accurate financial reporting, and efficient processing of trade activities for our U.S. and Mexico manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong U.S. trade compliance experience and attention to detail to support day-to-day operations and continuous improvement initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily U.S. import and export transactions, including In-Bond and Consumption EntriesMonitor and resolve discrepancies in shipment documentation and dataExecute post-entry activities, including corrections, protests, and reconciliation filingsMaintain proper recordkeeping and documentation logs in compliance with CBP regulationsConduct entry audits and duty rate analysis to ensure classification accuracy and cost controlCollaborate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely clearancePrepare and report monthly customs-related financials, including journal vouchers and invoice processingSupport Partner Government Agency (PGA) reporting and other regulatory requirementsAssist in continuous improvement initiatives related to trade compliance systems and reporting toolsQualificationsHigh School diploma requiredMinimum of 2 years of experience in U.S. customs operations, trade compliance, or logisticsStrong understanding of U.S. import/export regulations, entry processes, and Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classificationFamiliarity with post-entry procedures and customs audit requirementsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); SAP or GTS experience preferredExcellent communication and analytical skillsDetail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple prioritiesSpanish language skills are a plus, but not requiredAptiv Rewards and AdvantagesCompetitive compensation with bonus potentialLearning and development opportunitiesDiscount programs with various manufacturers and retailersRecognition for innovation and excellenceOpportunities to give back to the communityMeaningful work that makes a difference in the worldRelocation assistance may be availableTuition ReimbursementPaid Time Off (Vacation, Parental leave, etc.)Some see differences. Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma required (experience)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in U.S. customs operations, trade compliance, or logistics (experience, 2 years)
  • Strong understanding of U.S. import/export regulations, entry processes, and Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classification (experience)
  • Familiarity with post-entry procedures and customs audit requirements (experience)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); SAP or GTS experience preferred (experience)
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills (experience)
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities (experience)
  • Spanish language skills are a plus, but not required (experience)

Responsibilities
