YOUR ROLEAs a Member of Technical Staff – Engineering Sys Cert Office, you will work with a skilled team to plan and drive execution of projects and feature development, following well-defined Agile processes. You will work cross-functionally with Architects, Technologists, Product Managers, remote development teams, and customer-facing teams to deliver capabilities across Wind River’s VxWorks and Helix Virtualization Platform products. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, safety-critical software capabilities with excellent user experience.HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE In your day-to-day job you will:Design and maintain processes for the development of certified and safety-critical softwareEnsure compliance with industrial, medical, aerospace and automotive standards (e.g., IEC 61508, IEC 62304, DO-178C)Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvementsProvide support to teams during project executionSupport training project teams in safety-critical lifecycle activitiesSupport the evaluation and selection of appropriate tools, processes, and technologiesSupport Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the assigned process areasParticipate in the process definition reviewsSupport SQA team in the process quality assurance activitiesWork with global teams as needed to achieve project objectivesQUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLSBachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field5+ years of experience in software, system or product safety process definitionProduct or process development experience in aerospace, Industrial, medical or automotive industriesExpertise in at least one of the following: IEC 61508, DO-178C, IEC 62304Excellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience with lifecycle management tools such as Polarion, Jama or DOORSStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work effectively in a team environmentExcellent time management and multitasking abilitiesExperience with safety, process or quality auditsExperience working with certification organizationsIt will be great if you also have:Knowledge and experience with software development tools such asGit, GitLab, Jenkins, JIRASoftware engineering experience with the full development lifecycle and processes, Agile and scrum project management tools (e.g. Jira);Scrum certifications (CSM, PSM, CSPO) are a plusFamiliarity with Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and RTOS development tools“Windriver is an equal employment opportunity employer.
