Ready to shape the future of mobility with us?YOUR ROLEAs the SMT Engineering Leader, will be responsible for lead and optimizing SMT processes, ensuring process stability, quality performance, and continuous improvement across production lines. The job provides high visibility inside manufacturing operations and cross-functional teams.RESPONSABILITIES:Validate SMT process parameters (printing, placement, reflow)Supervise and lead manufacturing engineering groupSupport new part number launching, validation, product transfers, components validationsAnalyze SPI/AOI data and implement process improvements focus con solder paste printing processCoordinate communication with external teams, close contact with APTIV SMT teams worldwide, MTT (manufacturing technology team)Lead SMT internal and external auditManage engineering resources to effectively support FTQ, CT, scrap and CPH improvement activitiesLead cost reduction & quality improvement activities for all Projects, apply Problem Solving tools as neededEnsure effective communications of New Product related information with customers (project team, operations, supervisor, & implementation team)Stay current with all Policies, Procedures, and Design StandardsResponsible for forecast, selection, implementation of new equipmentResponsible for SMT capacity analysis and report to MTTREQUIRED SKILLS: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electronic, Mechatronic) or related field5+ years of experience in SMT manufacturing leadershipAdvanced EnglishStrong knowledge of SMT processes and equipmentExperience with paste application, placement SPI, AOI, and reflow profilingKnowledge of IPC standards (IPC-A-610)Experience with statistical analysis (Cp, Cpk, SPC)Leadership experience managing technical and development teamsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Experience in new products launch and product transfersSix Sigma or Lean Manufacturing knowledgeAdvanced problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5 Why's)Experience with SMT equipment brands (ASM preferred)Strong communication and leadership skillsWHY JOIN US?You can grow at Aptiv.
