Your Role: This is a high‑impact leadership role at the center of Baxter’s most complex and strategically important government pricing and compliance initiatives. Because Baxter operates across pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and equipment, the government pricing environment is uniquely intricate — from unbundling requirements to multi‑agency reporting across CMS, HRSA, VA, DoD, and numerous state programs.As the Senior Manager, you’ll bring clarity and structure to that complexity. You’ll lead pricing methodology, manage external partners responsible for pricing calculations, guide regulatory interpretation, and advise Commercial, Finance, Legal, Marketing, and senior leadership on the downstream impact of pricing and contracting decisions. You’ll also own the finance partnership, working closely with revenue accounting to manage reserves, monitor long‑standing accruals, and prepare the organization for emerging legislative and IRA‑related changes.You’ll join a team led by an experienced, well‑respected leader who has grown her career within Baxter and understands this role deeply. What You’ll Be Doing:Serve as Baxter’s enterprise subject matter expert on government pricing regulations, methodology, and policy interpretationLead end‑to‑end ownership of AMP, BP, ASP, 340B, and Non‑FAMP submissions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely deliveryAdvise Commercial, Finance, Legal, Marketing, and Market Access on downstream impacts of pricing strategies, contract structures, and legislative developmentsOversee outsourced calculation partners, data inputs, and system outputs, including governance of Model N and other managed service providersPartner closely with Finance and Revenue Accounting to manage reserves, monitor long‑standing accruals, and ensure alignment on financial exposureLead reconciliation, validation, and audit‑readiness frameworks across all government pricing programs and state transparency requirementsProvide support and coordination for the Medicaid rebate process, manage vendor performance, and cash recovery efforts while maintaining strong relationships with CMS, HRSA, VA, DoD, and state agenciesDrive process standardization, unbundling initiatives, system modernization, and special projects that shape the future of Baxter’s government pricing functionWhat You’ll Bring:8–10 years of experience in Government Price Reporting preferred (open to strong candidates with 6+ years and demonstrated mastery)Deep expertise in U.S. government pricing programs, including Medicaid (AMP/BP), Medicare Part B (ASP), 340B, Non‑FAMP, VA/FSS, and state transparency reportingProven ability to interpret complex regulations, guide policy decisions, and translate methodology into business risk and opportunityExperience partnering with senior leaders across Commercial, Finance, Legal, IT, and Marketing to influence strategy and drive alignmentStrong analytical and modeling skills, including scenario analysis related to price changes, legislative developments, and IRA exposureDemonstrated success building sustainable controls, audit frameworks, and scalable processes in highly regulated environmentsLeadership experience managing teams, developing talent, and overseeing vendors or managed service providersSystems acumen, ideally with Model N or similar pricing/contracting platforms, and comfort navigating complex data environmentsWe understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $136,000 -$187,000. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position is also eligible for discretionary bonuses and long-term incentive.
