Modeling and Simulation Analyst, LeadThe Opportunity:As a lead modeling and simulation analyst, you will use your passion for uncovering root causes, developing rigorous analytical insights, and creating solutions that inform mission and capability decisions. You will lead advanced modeling and simulation activities that support quantitative assessments for defense mission objectives. Using the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM), you will design, direct, and execute simulation runs to evaluate force design, operational performance, and system‑level capability outcomes. You will integrate and maintain simulation data inputs, conduct scenario‑based evaluations, and identify modeling assumptions and limitations that influence analytical results.You will collaborate closely with government analysts, FFRDC partners, and cross‑functional technical teams to conduct research, build simulation scenarios, prepare analytical products, and interpret results. You will develop clear documentation, briefs, and presentations to communicate findings, support stakeholder coordination, and strengthen mission‑focused decision‑making.In this role, you will apply a range of analytical and computational methods, including mathematics, statistics, engineering techniques, and operations research approaches such as linear programming, probability theory, and game‑theoretic reasoning. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,400.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD).
