Roles & Responsibilities:

The focus is set on advanced simulation of vibration and structural mechanics.

• You’ll leverage your skills and knowledge of structural mechanics and simulations for vibration problems and other engineering applications in Bosch.
• You will simulate 3D multi-physics models using numerical simulations, scripting and programming.
• You will develop improved modeling strategies for vibration of automotive and industrial components.
• Furthermore, for modelling and simulations you’ll be required to combine physics-based models with data-based approaches as in hybrid modelling.
• You will work in international teams and perform necessary development/implementation to accomplish the tasks.
• You’ll publish the research findings in reputable journals and conferences.

Qualifications

Educational qualification:

Minimum MS/M.Tech in Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil or any other engineering, science or interdisciplinary stream where the candidate has very good knowledge of solid/ structural mechanics and simulations from top Indian institutes (IITs, IIITs, IISc, NITs etc.) or from top international institutes with good academic track record and research publications related to:

• Structural mechanics
• Computational mechanics

Experience: 3+ years

Mandatory/required Skills:

• Excellent knowledge of solid & structural mechanics
• Expertise in vibration modeling
• Sound fundamentals of Finite Element Methods
• Excellent programming skills in python, C, C++
• Proficiency in Abaqus tool
• Good knowledge of ordinary and partial differential equations
• Sound fundamentals of Numerical methods for engineering problems
• Excellent presentation and communication skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with simulation tools: Matlab, Simulink and Ansys will be added advantage.
• Application knowledge in at least one of the Bosch product areas mobility, industrial technology, consumer goods or energy and building technology

Kindly note that we are looking for candidates with background and experience in Solid and Structural mechanics and NOT in Fluid mechanics for this role.
