If you already have a Candidate Account, please Sign-In before you apply.Job Description:Broadcom's Data Center Solutions Group (DCSG) is seeking a skilled Firmware Engineer to join our embedded storage systems development team. In this role, you will design, implement, and debug low-level firmware for storage controllers, with a primary focus on RAID (Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks) functionality on ARM based microprocessors. You will work across the full development lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver product features aligned with customer requirements. Key responsibilities:Develop new features and maintain firmware for storage productsWork on storage products supporting PCIe, NVMe and/or SAS/SATA protocolsSupport product solution validation and firmware release activitiesGather and analyze logs to root cause and resolve functional, performance and data integrity issuesParticipate in storage product feature design and implementation reviewsCollaborate with hardware and validation teams for system integrationTroubleshoot low-level firmware and hardware interaction issues using DSTREAM and logical analyzersQualification:Bachelor's degree in CS, ECE, or EE and 2+ years of related experience, orMaster’s degree in CS, ECE, or EEStrong programming skills in C (and assembly language is desirable). Working knowledge of embedded processors - ARMExperience using AI/LLM based tools within an embedded firmware workflow, such as AI coding assistants for code generation, review and debugging, AI-assisted test-case generation and AI-assisted documentation.Compensation and BenefitsThe annual base salary range for this position is USD 82,500.00 To USD 132,000.00As a valued member of our team, you'll be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and the opportunity to receive not only a competitive new hire equity grant, but also annual equity awards, connecting your success directly to the company's growth.
