Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.The Control Systems Lead is a senior technical leader responsible for end‑to‑end ownership of connectivity system solutions within Power & Energy (P&E).This role leads through technical expertise and influence, driving cross-functional alignment to deliver robust, validated, and scalable connectivity capabilities. The position ensures clarity in execution across requirements, integration, validation, and release cycles using structured delivery frameworks and governance practices.What You Will Do: System Ownership & Technical LeadershipOwn system-level definition and integration across onboard and enterprise connectivity systems. Translate business and customer requirements into system-level designs and technical direction.Cross-Functional LeadershipAlign multiple teams on clear execution expectations across scope, timeline, and ownership. Serve as the primary technical interface between onboard teams, connectivity platforms, and product stakeholders.Delivery & Release ExecutionOwn delivery outcomes from requirements through validation and release readiness. Drive validation planning and execution for firmware and connectivity feature releases. Ensure readiness for release gates and adherence to quality standards. Problem Solving & Technical Support LeadershipLead complex technical issue investigations and root cause analysis for connectivity and telematics systems.Strategic Initiatives & InnovationDrive or support key connectivity initiatives such as:Enterprise cloud UI (Vision Link) adoption in P&EData center connectivity solutionsNext-generation telematics hardware technology adoptionOperational Excellence & GovernanceEstablish and drive consistent workflows and execution frameworks across global teams.Define prioritization, escalation, and accountability models.Scope & ImpactActs as system-level owner for assigned connectivity capabilitiesAccountable for delivery quality, release readiness, and system performanceWhat You Will Have:Demonstrated experience in control systems, embedded systems, telematics, or connectivity engineeringProven ability to lead cross-functional technical delivery effortsStrong experience in requirements definition, system integration, and validationExperience in connectivity system integration for Power & Energy, Machine or similar applicationsExperience with telematics platforms, remote services, or system-level architectureFamiliarity with next-generation connectivity technologies and system evolution initiativesTop Candidates Will Have: Aligned with Control Systems Lead expectationsEmbedded systems and system integration expertiseRequirements analysis and system designProduct testing and validation strategyTechnical troubleshooting and root cause analysisProject and delivery managementCross team integration and influenceCommunication of complex technical conceptsRelationship management across stakeholders Typical Tools / SystemsAzure DevOps and standard engineering workflow toolsTelematics diagnostic tools (CANAlyzer, Wireshark, Modbus Sim/Scan etc…)Enterprise cloud/offboard applications – Helios, DSP, VisionLinkEnterprise collaboration and engineering tool chainsSuccess MeasuresHigh-quality releases with reduced field issuesEffective cross-team alignment and reduced escalationsSuccessful execution of strategic connectivity initiativesAdditional details:This position requires the candidate to work full-time at the Mossville, IL office.Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position.Visa sponsorship is NOT available with this positionPosting dates: August 26 - September 2nd Summary Pay Range:$128,470.00 - $192,710.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
