Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.The Manager, Supply Chain Planning provides leadership for Caterpillar's Enterprise Capacity Planning (ECP) team in India and the extended ICS support team. This role is responsible for leading the execution and continuous improvement of Enterprise Capacity Requirement (ECR) processes that support Caterpillar's long-term growth strategy.The position plays a key role in enabling enterprise-wide capacity readiness by leading EPP and ECR engagements, facilitating cross-functional collaboration, driving automation initiatives, and implementing standardized capacity planning methodologies. This role serves as the primary ECP contact for business partners across the Asia region while supporting global enterprise capacity planning objectives.What you will do:Provide leadership and development for the India ECP team and extended ICS support team.Lead critical Executive Product Plan (EPP) engagements across the Asia and Europe region and support global capacity planning engagements as required.Ensure timely execution of Enterprise Capacity Requirements for Components (ECR-C) and Enterprise Capacity Requirements for Suppliers (ECR-S) refresh activities in support of Caterpillar's growth strategy.Facilitate capacity planning workshops with manufacturing facilities, product groups, engineering, procurement, and operations teams.Serve as the primary point of contact for ECP business partners across the Asia region.Drive development and implementation of automation solutions that improve workshop execution efficiency, process consistency, and scalability.Oversee deployment and governance of the Efficiency Calculator initiative across Caterpillar facilities.Lead deployment and adoption of Agility initiatives across internal manufacturing facilities.Establish and strengthen partnerships and best practices with business partners and internal functions.Lead the development and analysis of capacity, demand, and operational data to identify and prioritize opportunities for improving facility capacity and supply chain performance.Drive continuous improvement of enterprise capacity planning processes, tools, reporting, and governance activities.Communicate engagement results, risks, recommendations, and action plans to business leaders and stakeholders.What skills you will have:Leadership: Ability to lead, coach, and develop employees while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine root causes of organizational challenges and develop practical solutions.Cross-Team Integration: Understanding the importance of collaboration across functions and organizations, with the ability to align teams toward shared enterprise objectives.Project Management: Ability to plan, organize, monitor, and successfully execute multiple complex initiatives and engagements.Process Improvement: Ability to identify process inefficiencies, establish standard work, and implement sustainable improvements.Supply Chain Management: Knowledge of supply chain planning, manufacturing operations, capacity planning methodologies, and performance improvement techniques.Stakeholder Management: Ability to establish effective partnerships, communicate clearly, and influence decisions across multiple business functions.Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Ability to analyze information, assess risk, evaluate alternatives, and make sound business decisions.Top candidates will also have:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or related field.8+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Operations, Capacity Planning, or related disciplines.Previous people leadership experience managing technical, analytical, or supply chain teams.Experience leading enterprise-wide or cross-functional projects.Knowledge of Enterprise Product Planning (EPP), Enterprise Capacity Requirements (ECR-C / ECR-S), or similar strategic planning processes.Experience facilitating workshops and presenting recommendations to senior leaders.Experience leading automation, analytics, or digital transformation initiatives.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.Additional InformationThis position requires working onsite five days a week.Location: Chennai, IndiaRelocation: Relocation assistance is available for this position.Travel: This position will require up to 15-20% travel.This position requires working onsite five days a week.
