Total Number of Openings1About the RoleThe Junior (Trainee) Instrument Technician supports the installation, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control systems used in oil and gas operations. This role is designed for entry-level candidates and focuses on developing technical skills while working under close supervision of senior technicians, ensuring safe and reliable plant operations.Key Responsibilities Assist senior technicians with the installation, calibration, and maintenance of field instruments such as: pressure, temperature, level, and flow transmitters; control valves, actuators, and positioners; analyzers and basic control systems; fire and Gas Detection and Protective SystemsInspects, maintains, troubleshoots and repairs instrumentation and control devices, including measurement sensors, analyzers, transmitters, signal transmission systems, control processors, Human Machine Interfaces (HMI), final control elements, safety instrumented systems, process control networks, fire and gas systems, Distributed Control Systems (DCS)/Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems and associated applications. Identifies and implements reliability, integrity, economic, carbon reduction, and safety improvements for above systemsSupport routine preventive and corrective maintenance activities and assist with basic fault finding and troubleshooting of instrumentation loopsHelp with loop checks, functional testing, and commissioning activities. Read and interpret basic P&IDs, loop diagrams, and instrument data sheetsActively participate in on-the-job training and formal technical trainingDemonstrate continuous improvement using technical manuals and associated documentation to gain knowledge and understandingStrictly adhere to Company HSE Policies, Safe Operating Procedures and Control of Work (Permit) systems.Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and risk assessmentsMaintain housekeeping standards in work areasImmediately report unsafe conditions, incidents, or near missesKnowledge, Skills, and ExperienceBasic understanding of industrial instrumentation principlesWillingness to work in oil & gas operating environments, 14-day shifts and site-based workTechnical diploma, vocational training, or apprenticeship in: Instrumentation, Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I), Automation or related disciplineAbility to work independently or within multidisciplinary teamsGood communication and documentation skillsScope FactorThe preferred candidate should have a basic understanding maintain on electrical or instrumentation equipment in a process operating facilityThey shall be eager to learn and show initiative on the jobThey should be able to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace and understand their role in maintaining safe operationsKnowledge of fire and gas protective systems will be advantageousThe candidate should be comfortable using written and spoken English and able to communicate clearlyWorking ConditionsThe successful candidate will work on a 14/14 rotation on their Leviathan Production Platform (LPP), located off the coast of IsraelThe position is based in Israel and is open to candidates who are legally authorized to work in IsraelChevron participates in E-Verify in certain locations as required by law.

Responsibilities
