Able to operate and troubleshoot equipment in lab.Work Hours: Sunday - Thursday 10:00 PM to 6:30 AMPay Rate: $25.39 / hour + $1.20 Shift DifferentialIn this role, you will:Fulfills microbial testing of finished goods, bulk, and raw materials for compliance with USP <61> microbial enumeration and USP <62> specified microorganisms following rapid microbial testing methods.Accurately documents testing information and results in real timeSupports bulk and raw material testing, and releases as needed. Additional testing includes sensory, pH, viscosity, penetrationReviews test data and performs release transactions in SAPDemonstrates ability to support production lines by answering quality-related questions and ensuring that the department meets the required quality standards.Document and provide support for investigations pertaining to quality issues requiring resolution. Documentation includes OOS, NCR, and Deviations.Prepare and sterility test media for raw material testing useReview COC (Chain of Custody) and Line Clearance forms prior to distributing the finished goods samples for testingAssist in all laboratory cleaning processes and communicates testing supplies inventory needsCreate, revise and/or review procedures (SOPs, Job Aids and One Point Lessons) as needed.Special quality projects as assignedScope Factors: Prioritizes testing to support business needsRFI, SWARM, FI, Quarterly Improvement ParticipantUnderstands and utilizes myLeadership 4e’sUnderstand and demonstrate 5 calls to action, 1. Complete both General and Safety Improvements quarterlyAbility to operate micro lab equipment: Neogen Soleris, AutoclaveAbility to operate pH meter, viscometer, penetrometer, TOC analyzerAbility to calibrate pH meter and scalesProvide support to the Microbiology Technician and backup to the quality laboratoryFollow all Safety, GLP, GDP, and GMP regulations and proceduresPerform all training related to safety, GMP, sustainability, and environmentalUnderstands and utilizes continuous improvement toolsProvide backup to Quality labEnsure all expired material is labeled appropriatelyProvide backup to raw material samplerOther Scope Factors: contributes to quality projects as assigned What we look for:Education/Years and Type of Experience: AA / AS Degree in a related field OR two (2) years of progressively responsible, related work experience in the manufacturing of industry (Pharmaceutical, Food or Cosmetics preferable)Skills and Abilities:Proficient computer skills in Work and Excel are mandatory, and the demonstrated ability to understand and learn additional programs is essential and requiredDemonstrated ability in analytical reasoning is required.Demonstrated ability in operating and troubleshooting testing equipmentUnderstanding microbiology processes, plating, methods, etc. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills are required.Experience in using SAP and Outlook preferred.
