Job Description

Job DescriptionReporting to the Senior Director of Procurement, you will operate as a self‑starter who performs independently while serving as a value‑added member of the Enterprise Procurement organization and individual capital project teams. You will focus on delivering the best total value by balancing cost, schedule, quality, and service, while ensuring procurement processes and controls are followed to mitigate risk and provide trusted procurement partnership to engineering, operations, and other internal stakeholders.A Taste of Your ResponsibilitiesLead sourcing, supplier selection, negotiation, and contracting activities for capital projects, including contract and purchase order creation and ongoing managementPartner with cross‑functional teams including engineering, project management, operations, and other internal stakeholdersEnsure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and governance requirementsDraft requests for information and requests for proposal (RFP), and perform associated commercial and technical analysisIdentify and recommend innovative or alternative sourcing strategies and supplier options to meet financial and budget objectivesEstablish and lead supplier relationship management initiatives within the capital supplier base to improve performance, drive innovation, and reduce total costResearch market dynamics, cost drivers, supplier business models, and historical spend to strengthen negotiation strategiesResolve supplier and internal stakeholder issues to support successful project deliveryManage supplier performance by tracking key performance indicators and communicating resultsSupport continuity of services through proactive supplier performance managementBuild and maintain positive, productive, and collaborative relationships with suppliers, contractors, and internal partnersIngredients Required for Your SuccessBachelor’s degree7+ years of experience in procurementExperience in construction and equipment procurementBroad understanding of capital equipment and the construction industryContract law knowledge, including review and interpretation of statements of work, engineering drawings, and technical specificationsExperience negotiating large purchases and complex technical requirementsDemonstrated success managing competitive sourcing events and single‑source procurementsExperience independently managing multiple priorities, projects, and deadlinesExperience with interpersonal communication, customer service, and problem‑solvingProven track record of executing complex initiatives from strategy through implementationAnalytical mindset with a creative and solution‑oriented approachIntermediate Excel experience and ERP, enterprise resource planning system experienceNumber of Days in Office: 3 Tuesday – Thursday#LI‑Hybrid#LI‑PM2#LI‑MSLCompensation Pay Range:$109,000-$159,000The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity.
