The General Winery Worker is also responsible for ensuring all processes consistently meet the highest quality standards, supporting an efficient, safe, and quality-driven production environment.ResponsibilitiesUnder moderate supervision, performs basic, routine Harvest, Cellar, and Barrel Room tasks including but not limited to:Tank and equipment sanitationGrape sampling, receiving, sorting, crushing and conveyance to tankEnsuring all tanks are set up correctly with full functionality of hot/cold glycol, compressed air, inert gas, pumpover operation, etc.Drain & Press operations, adhering to all safety protocolsDaily tank checksBarrel prep, sanitation, filling, and/or emptyingWine movements – set-up and movement of wine and juice to and from tanks, barrels and tanker trucks.Make additions to wine and juice after confirmation of the calculations by a Cellar Supervisor or Manager.Operates all types of pumps including centrifugal, positive displacement, air pumps and other Cellar equipment.Measure and calculate routine workplace data.Basic understanding of chemical additives and cleanersBasic understanding of N2/CO2/Argon/ SO2Follow safe operating procedures, support safety programs and policies to safeguard personal safety, company property, environmental and team member safety.Other duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma, College Degree preferredMust be able to work various shifts and overtime as neededAble to enter confined spaces to perform tasksMust be able to read and understand written work ordersMust be able to operate machineryMust know how to use hand toolsMust possess basic math skillsMust be able to use D.O/O2 metersClear commitment to high quality and attention to detailsAble to work independently with minimum supervisionPhysical Requirements/Work EnvironmentMust be able to stand, walk, sitMust be able to move up to 55 lbsUse hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and armsClimb or balance stairs/laddersStoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hearMust have close vision, distant vision, and ability to adjust focus, peripheral visionMust be able to stand for extended periods at a timeWorks outdoors/indoorsWorks in warm/cold climatesWorks on wet surfacesIs exposed to loud noise, fumes and/or toxic chemicalsWorks near moving, mechanical parts and lift truck trafficSalary range: $ $18.00 - $22.00. Responsibilities
