Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.Job DescriptionThe Automotive Technician II is a mid-level technician responsible for delivering high-quality maintenance and repair services for fleet vehicles. This role emphasizes exceptional customer satisfaction while ensuring cost-effective service delivery. The technician may work independently or collaboratively within a team environment.Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredValid Driver’s License with a safe driving recordMinimum of 3 years of vehicle service and repair experienceAbility to operate both standard and automatic transmission vehiclesAbility to lift and carry up to 75 pounds (tools and equipment)Key ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive maintenance services, including:Oil changesOil, fuel, and transmission filter replacementsTransmission flushesInspections for mechanical deficienciesExecute light repairs as required based on inspection findingsPerform repairs and maintenance based on certification level, including:OBD II systemsBrake systemsTire servicesTune-upsSuspension componentsAerial lift systemsElectrical systemsState safety inspectionsInterior and exterior componentsEngine and drivetrain componentsMaintain and repair equipment such as:Cable trailersLaptop docking stationsAssist with more complex repairs and advanced diagnostics as neededPerform moderate fabrication tasks, including:Equipment designWelding and custom modificationsTroubleshoot and repair specialized fleet systems, including:Hydraulic systemsGeneratorsElectrical systemsHybrid vehicle systemsOnboard computer systemsEnsure operational readiness and availability of specialized fleet vehiclesPreferred QualificationsAt least 1 year of customer service experience preferredAbility to obtain a minimum of four (4) ASE certifications within 18 months of employmentOngoing commitment to training and development to maintain ASE certifications and stay current with evolving automotive technologiesYDGCOXDrug TestingTo be employed in this role, you’ll need to clear a pre-employment drug test.
