Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.Job DescriptionThis position offers a New Hire $1,500 Tool Bonus & $1,000 Signing Bonus Job-specific responsibilities include:Performs Preventive Maintenance: change oil, oil filter, fuel filter, transmission flush, and inspection of the vehicle for mechanical deficiencies.Based upon certification levels, performs various repairs and maintenance which may include: OBD II systems, brake components, tires, tune-ups, suspension components, electrical systems, State Safety Inspections, interior/exterior components, engine and drive line components, etc.Keeps shop area clean and tidy. Perform work in accordance with safety standards. Dispose of all fluids in a safe manner and in accordance with all regulations.Creates and maintains vehicle history and maintenance records. May up fit new vehicles with the necessary equipment.Performs other duties as assigned by management.Additional Responsibilities for Level II Responsibilities as outlined above for all technicians.Performs light to major repairs.Performs advanced vehicle diagnostics.Assures prompt repairs by interfacing and coordinating with vendors for parts and repairs.Provides roadside assistance as needed.Uses custom equipment when needed in order to complete moderate design/fabrication tasks including welding.Responsible for the efficient diagnosis, repair, and replacement of general automotive parts and accessories.Conduct a wide variety of diagnoses and repairs; including but not limited to brakes, drivability, emissions, steering/suspension, electrical, maintenance services, HVAC, major engine, and hydraulicsQualifications:Minimum:● High school diploma or GED (or 3+ years of related work experienceservicing vehicles instead of the degree).● 3+ years of vehicle service and repair experience.● Ability to drive standard and automatic transmission vehicles.● Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.Preferred:● Diesel Diagnostic ExperiencePhysical requirements:● Frequently required to stand, walk, reach, talk, hear, stoop, bend, kneel,crouch, squat, climb, and tolerate excess noise levels, car exhaust andoutdoor weather conditions.SMCOXDrug TestingTo be employed in this role, you’ll need to clear a pre-employment drug test.
