What You’ll Do You’ll spend a lot of time serving as a master-level auto tech performing heavy duty work and providing direction, guidance and technical expertise to shop personnel. Other responsibilities include: Performing the responsibilities of a level 1 - level 3 auto tech. Performing a wide range of repairs, including brakes, drivability, steering, suspension, electrical, safety inspections, AC and major engine. Performing advanced diagnostics and complete repairs. Clutch and transmission replacement. Working with individual techs as required to assess specific vehicle needs. Provide general guidance/direction or train associates in supporting roles and or less experienced associates Perform quality control checks on all work; notify supervisor of exceptional or unsatisfactory work. Ensuring auto maintenance standard operating procedures and activities are conducted to deliver desired outcomes. Identifying developmental opportunities in staff. Monitoring workflow processes and recommending areas to improve productivity. Reviewing and approving ordering and disposition of parts, supplies and materials. Alerting management about difficult issues, patterns and trends. Modeling safety behaviors and ensuring techs comply with all health, safety and environmental requirements. Who You Are From a flat tire to a thrown rod, you know how to fix it. But your skills extend beyond mechanical work; you’re also a great communicator who can inspire others. You have the following qualifications: Required: Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required. 7+ years of automotive service and repair experience.
