Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.Job Description**This position is based in Atlanta and is hybrid, reporting into the office two days a week.The Senior Manager, Marketing Strategy serves as a strategic business partner across Cox Automotive's consumer marketing portfolio, supporting integrated marketing strategy for Autotrader, KBB, and multiple business units within each brand. This role translates complex business objectives into actionable marketing strategies, partnering with product, B2B and cross-functional marketing teams to deliver measurable business outcomes across both growth and retention business units. We are looking for a strategic marketer that thrives in ambiguous, fast paced environment, intellectually curious, collaborative and thrives when driving business outcomes.What You’ll Do Business Unit Strategy Development Working closely with Director, Marketing Strategy, own end-to-end marketing strategy for assigned business units while maintaining working knowledge of the full portfolioPartner with product, B2B marketing, sales, and planning directors to align marketing strategy with business objectivesDevelop strategic plans that balance short term goals with long term strategyNavigate dual-sided marketplace dynamics where marketing must serve consumers, dealers, and business objectivesLead strategic workstreams for major initiatives including product launches, competitive responses, partnership programs, and lifecycle optimizationStrategic Brief & Plan DevelopmentCreate comprehensive strategic briefs for media, creative, analytics, and lifecycle teams that articulate:Business and partnership context across B2C and B2B dynamicsTarget audience insights, segmentation, and journey mappingCompetitive landscape, positioning, and differentiation strategyKey messages, creative territories, and campaign approachSuccess metrics spanning awareness, consideration, conversion, and retentionIntegration requirements across channels, touchpoints, and partnersWorking with media agencies and cross functional media team, develop integrated campaign strategies spanning brand media, performance marketing, social, content, CRM/lifecycle, and partnership marketingAlong with media team, brief agencies with clear strategic direction that reflects full-funnel objectives and multi-stakeholder dynamicsChallenge and evaluate media recommendations to ensure alignment with business objectives and partnership requirementsBuild strong agency relationships while maintaining appropriate accountability for business resultsStakeholder Management & Business Partnering Build strong working relationships with business unit leaders across AT & KBB portfolios, serving as their trusted marketing strategy partnerNavigate complex stakeholder environments including:Product teamsB2B marketing and sales teamsBusiness unit leadersCross-functional marketing teams (media, creative, analytics, CRM)Participate in business planning cycles and contribute marketing perspectivePresent strategic recommendations to senior leadership with clarity, confidence, and business acumenProactively identify business needs and opportunities, bringing strategic solutions that span acquisition and retentionWhat’s in It for You? The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and 6 years’ experience; a Ph.D. and 3 years of experience; or 12 years’ experience in a related field.Proven experience developing integrated marketing strategies across brand, performance, and lifecycle channelsBackground working with cross-functional teams (product, B2B, analytics, creative, media, CRM)Experience in complex business environments - ideally marketplace, multi-sided platform, B2B2C, or automotiveAgency experience (planning, strategy) or client-side brand/marketing strategy strongly preferredDeep understanding of integrated marketing strategy across brand, performance, content, social, and lifecycle channelsExperience with digital marketing, e-commerce, online transactions, or marketplace business modelsStrong strategic thinking - can analyze complex situations, synthesize insights from multiple sources, and develop clear, actionable recommendationsSystems thinking - sees connections across channels, touchpoints, business units, and partner ecosystemsExcellent written and verbal communication - can create compelling strategic documents, briefs, and presentationsCollaborative and relationship-oriented while comfortable advocating for strategic point of viewAbility to influence without direct authority across multiple organizational layersTravel: 25%Preferred:Degree in brand management, marketing or related field.Join the Cox family of businesses and make your mark today!
