Job TitleExecutive - EHSJob Description SummaryJob DescriptionRequisition FieldDescriptionExampleJob Posting TitleMarket appropriate job titleSafety OfficerJob Description Summary Purpose of the role in 1-2 sentencesThis role is responsible for leading the implementation and monitoring of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs across project sites, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, company policies, and industry standards while proactively identifying risks, promoting a strong safety culture, and driving incident prevention throughout the project lifecycle.Job Description 3-5 bullet points of specific dutiesAbout the Role: Serve as the central coordination point for all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) activities, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, client requirements, and company safety standards.Lead the development and implementation of project-specific HSE plans, risk assessments, safe work procedures, and emergency response measures to establish a safe working environment.Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and review meetings to monitor HSE performance, identify hazards, track corrective actions, and ensure continuous compliance and improvement.Promote a proactive safety culture through employee training, toolbox talks, incident investigations, and awareness programs, driving risk reduction and incident prevention throughout the project lifecycle.General Responsibilities Ensure implementation and compliance of Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) policies, procedures, and statutory requirements across project sites.Conduct site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective and preventive actions.Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training programs to employees, contractors, and vendors to promote safe work practices.Investigate incidents, maintain EHS documentation and records and prepare periodic safety reports for management review.Support emergency preparedness activities, monitor safety performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.3-5 bullet points of key selection criteriaAbout You: Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Safety, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.PDIS/ADIS from a government-affiliated college or university.Preferred Safety Certifications like NEBOSH IGC, OHSAS 30 Hours certification, IOSH Managing Safely certification.6+ years of experience in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) management within construction, infrastructure, residential, industrial, or project-based environments.Proficiency in safety management systems, inspection and audit processes, incident reporting tools, and HSE performance monitoring and reporting systems.3 bullet points of job/country specific benefitsWhy join Cushman & Wakefield?
