Job TitleFacilities Management Technician (Data Centre, Johor)Job Description SummaryThe Facilities Management Technician oversees day-to-day data centre facility operations, coordinating maintenance, change management, and incident response to ensure compliant, resilient infrastructure performance. This role shall be responsible for overseeing DCP activities, particularly those affecting the data halls, conducting facility inspections, supporting maintenance and change events. The team evaluates and tracks change requests by risk level, consolidates maintenance schedules, and provides rapid response and escalation for critical facility incidents, including alarm verification and EOP activation.Job DescriptionAbout the Role:Support facility operations across data centers by overseeing maintenance activities, coordinating change implementation, and providing onsite support during scheduled maintenance windowsReview and validate technical documents such as MOPs, Risk Assessments, and SOPs, and help manage vendor change requests through the internal change management processConsolidate maintenance schedules, monitor change records, and support risk-based approvals and escalations, including preparation for CAB reviewsRespond to facility incidents and alarms by verifying affected areas, coordinating with providers, and ensuring emergency procedures are activated where requiredMaintain accurate maintenance, change, and audit records, while providing regular operational updates on facility activities, support requests, and performanceProvide after-hours support through an agreed on-call roster and assist with additional facility-related duties that support business continuity and operational efficiencyAbout You:1–2 years of relevant onsite experience in data center operations, facilities support, or a similar environment, with the ability to complete a tailored training plan related to the roleWorking knowledge of data center infrastructure systems, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, fire suppression, and monitoring systemsStrong communication skills, with the ability to provide updates clearly, escalate issues promptly, and work effectively within structured maintenance and incident processesFamiliarity with incident management, change management, and risk-based review of vendor maintenance activities in operational environmentsStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond with urgency during incidents, particularly in large-scale or mission-critical settingsExposure to capacity management, rack layout planning, space/power/cooling provisioning, or industry certifications such as CDCP would be an advantage INCO: “Cushman & Wakefield”
