This role works closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to manage project risks, drive stakeholder alignment, and support efficient end-to-end project delivery.Job DescriptionAbout the Role: Lead MEP project delivery across planning, coordination, execution, and closeout for projects in JapanStrong management of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works, ensuring quality, compliance, and alignment with project requirementsEffective coordination of consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to maintain project timelines and delivery standardsProactive risk, issue, and change management, including escalation, mitigation planning, and resolution of technical or delivery challengesSolid knowledge of Japan building regulations, statutory requirements, safety standards, and permit or approval processes relevant to MEP worksEnd-to-end project oversight, including review of drawings, technical submittals, procurement coordination, testing, commissioning, and handover activitiesStrong stakeholder collaboration, working closely with clients, project teams, landlords, suppliers, and regional partners to ensure smooth deliveryDisciplined budget, reporting, and schedule management to support efficient and transparent project executionAbout You: 5-7 years of relevant experience in MEP project management, building services, construction, or infrastructure deliveryBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Construction Management, or a related fieldProven track record of managing MEP scope across complex commercial, industrial, or mission-critical projectsStrong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across design, installation, testing, and commissioningFamiliarity with Japan codes, compliance requirements, contractor management, and local project delivery practicesStrong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across internal teams, consultants, and external vendorsBusiness-level Japanese and English language capability preferred for project coordination and reportingProficiency in project management, reporting, and documentation tools such as Microsoft Office, scheduling platforms, and construction management systemsProven problem-solving, coordination, and risk management capability in fast-paced project environmentsWhy join Cushman & Wakefield?
