Job TitleSenior Manager, Environmental Health & Safety, Project & Development ServicesJob Description SummaryThe Senior Manager, Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) is responsible for providing direction and support for all EH&S activities, including implementation, monitoring, and review of C&W compliance/performance.Position will report to client site in Cartersville, Georgia.Job DescriptionESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIESCreate, manage and lead the deployment of C&W’s EH&S programs across the US, to ensure safety is part of day-to-day operations at each site within Project and Development ServicesEffectively communicate C&W’s safety culture and operating philosophiesAssist in the identification of possible losses; evaluate the risk in such loss exposure; develop and implement a plan to correct or prevent loss; and audit the plan to ensure effectivenessMaintain and update as needed SOP’s for all safe work practices and equipment and utilize them in the day-to-day trainingEnsure inspections by regulatory agencies are coordinated and deficiencies minimized and corrected. Coordinate with Project Leads and site management on deficiencies and monthly safety inspectionsMaintain all logs and documentation associated with permits and regulatory requirementsReview accidents and incidents which occur in the area of responsibility and conduct field audits, report and manage the corrective actionsSupport Workers Compensation (WC) claims tracking, investigation, and management processLiaise with WC Program Manager and benefits group on all aspects of injury management and rehabilitationSupport compliance with all EH&S record keeping requirements, including corporate and regulatory compliance/program documentation, e.g., auditing, training, medical, and OSHA recordsParticipate in site inspections and third-party audits to assure/verify regional compliance with Federal, State and local laws and regulationsTravel to corporate and client offices as requiredDevelop, maintain, and ensure the online safety training platform meets industry standards and OSHA requirementsCollaborate with other service lines and global EH&S to implement programs and initiatives employed across C&WReview Policies & Procedures specific to EH&S, as well as support sites in preparation of their manuals for Emergency Procedures and Tenant Emergency ProceduresDevelop standards and processes related to common environmental issues in commercial buildings such as asbestos, fuel oil storage tank management, indoor air quality, mold remediation and water intrusionAttend new business presentations to discuss relevant EH&S topicsWorks to achieve performance targets within team with major impact on resultsWorks independently on a wide range of moderately complex projects/assignmentsKEY COMPETENCIESCommunication Proficiency (oral and written)Negotiation SkillsOrganization SkillsTime Management SkillsProblem Solving/AnalysisInitiativeIMPORTANT EDUCATIONBA/BS in Safety, Engineering or related sciences preferredIMPORTANT EXPERIENCE7+ years’ experience (or equivalent) in Environmental Health and SafetyADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONSSafety Certification (CSP or CIH) preferredDemonstrable success in Systems Management across multiple accounts/sitesSubject Matter Expertise in EHS and relevant US StandardsWell versed in OH&S legislation and regulationWell-developed research and report writing skillsSound Investigative and Auditing skills supported by formal trainingCushman & Wakefield also provides eligible employees with an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health, vision, and dental insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life, and disability insurance programs, and paid and unpaid time away from work.   • Well-developed research and report writing skills (experience)

Responsibilities
