Job TitleSenior Project ManagerJob Description SummaryThe Senior Project Manager is responsible for overseeing project setup, implementation and execution through completion of construction and/or qualification. Will assist Programs & Projects (P&P) Market Leader and Senior Leadership in the establishment and refinement of best practices of standards and excellence, while informing the Manager and/or Market Lead of all projects, internal and client issues affecting the perception and reputation of Cushman & Wakefield. Will provide project management experience to designated projects and assignments for a particular client account, property portfolio, or large facility/complex through interaction with the client, property or facility management team, and project management staff.Job DescriptionEssential Responsibilities: Contributes to the project strategy development with Directors and executes within business unit of C&W and client.Manages overall project costs, schedule, risks and scope execution and develops project charter and execution plan.Lead and schedule meetings, prepare agendas, develop and maintain master project budgets and timelines as required for each project and project phase to ensure overall project objectives and client needs are metPrepare and coordinate project reports and drawing reviews for clients, Account/Portfolio Manager, and property/facility management team at all project phases including conceptual, schematic, design development and construction phasesAssist in the selection and contracting process and oversight of consultants and construction teams as necessary for each project. If appropriate/applicable, integrate the impact of other Project Management and C&W components, including brokerage (work letter development), building operations, M.E.P., etc. as they relate to each project and project phaseReview requisitions, change orders and other invoices associated with the project; advise and counsel the Account/Portfolio Manager and building/facility management teamDirectly participate in the marketing and presentation of services to clientsOrganizes people and resources along with operating within office or department. May supervise and manage the performance, development, work quality, reporting, and activities of Project Managers, Space Planners, and CAD OperatorsProvide all necessary documentation and reports to the client and building/facility management teamCooperate with other building/facility personnel to achieve corporate goals and objectives as to quality, service, cost and profitReport to the Account/Portfolio Manager and senior building/facility manager regarding major problems and findings and results achieved along with specific, complete, and comprehensive recommendationsProvide the appropriate documentation and obtain the approvals necessary in advance of making organizational changes, actions planned, implying commitments, and expenditures in excess of approved budgetMay be required to establish goals and objectives with timetables for the organizational unit and sub-units supervisedMay be required to select and hire subordinates; delegate to each necessary authority and responsibility for performance of assigned functionsMay be required to train, develop, motivate and discipline subordinates as necessary to meet established goals; review and appraise their work performanceImplement government laws and regulations and adheres to established rulings of government authoritiesKey Competencies:Client FocusMust possess exemplary communication skills – both oral and writtenLeadership – may lead project teams and manage staffComplex Analysis and Problem SolvingFunctional StrategyTechnical ProficiencyConsultationImportant Experience:Minimum of 7 years directly related experience in an engineering/construction project accountability roleA minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a project management capacity especially experience in leading, motivating, and developing employees; upwards of 10 years or more or related experience a bonusExperience within the construction industry requiredHistory in client relations, client management, contract negotiations and consulting skillsAdditional Qualifications:Advanced project management skills with demonstrated understanding of project management businessAbility to support and/or lead business development initiatives as assigned or requested.Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate analyzed data to client and project team to achieve project goalsStrong working knowledge of architectural/engineering drawings and construction concepts.Proficient in Microsoft Office.Education:B.S.
