Job TitleSenior SurveyorJob Description SummaryJob DescriptionCushman & Wakefield is seeking a Senior Surveyor to join its Dublin Office Agency team. This is a hands‑on, client‑focused position for an experienced surveyor who thrives in a collaborative, fast‑paced advisory environment. The role spans supporting senior leadership on large development and leasing mandates, taking ownership of smaller client instructions with growing independence, and contributing to the effective running of team systems and junior talent development. Senior Surveyors are trusted representatives of the firm’s values and brand, providing high‑quality professional advice while contributing directly to fee growth, billing and profitability.Roles & ResponsibilitiesDeliver excellent professional advice and service to office leasing clientsSupport Directors and Associate Directors on major development projects, pitches and transactionsAct as primary client contact on managed projects, providing updates, advice and solutionsRun smaller assignments with increasing responsibility and autonomyPrepare and contribute to client presentations, bids and pitchesIdentify technical issues in transactions and recommend appropriate solutionsProactively generate new business and revenue opportunitiesBuild and maintain strong internal and external client relationshipsContribute to team fee, billing and profit targetsDeliver personal billing performance aligned to role expectationsManage billing, budgets and cost control on assigned instructionsIdentify cross‑selling opportunities and support wider firm servicesUse firm systems to support pricing, billing, cash flow and profitabilityEnsure compliance with firm procedures, professional standards, health & safety and risk policiesMaintain current knowledge of legislation, case law and market developmentsDemonstrate sound technical competence and market awarenessAct as a Business Enabler, Trusted Advisor and Leader within the teamCoach and support graduate and early‑career surveyorsShare knowledge, provide constructive feedback and support team performanceActively pursue personal development, mentoring and CPD requirementsEmbrace and support change and continuous improvement initiativesEducation & QualificationsIdeally 2+ years post‑qualification experienceBackground in general practice, preferably client‑facing or transactionalExperience in a large practice or corporate environment advantageousUnderstanding of business development and client relationship managementFinancial awareness and experience with billing and budgetsKnowledge of the Irish commercial real estate market and relevant legislationSCSI qualified (or actively working towards qualification)Skills & AttributesCommercially aware, organised and client‑focusedStrong communication, negotiation and presentation skillsConfident report writer with excellent written and verbal EnglishTeam‑oriented, proactive and able to work with increasing independenceStrong IT skills including MS Office and industry‑specific systemsPlease note: this is a direct search led by Cushman & Wakefield. Required Qualifications

  • Ideally 2+ years post‑qualification experience (experience, 2 years)
  • Background in general practice, preferably client‑facing or transactional (experience)
  • Experience in a large practice or corporate environment advantageous (experience)
  • Understanding of business development and client relationship management (experience)
  • Financial awareness and experience with billing and budgets (experience)
  • Knowledge of the Irish commercial real estate market and relevant legislation (experience)
  • SCSI qualified (or actively working towards qualification) (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellent professional advice and service to office leasing clients
  • Support Directors and Associate Directors on major development projects, pitches and transactions
  • Act as primary client contact on managed projects, providing updates, advice and solutions
  • Run smaller assignments with increasing responsibility and autonomy
  • Prepare and contribute to client presentations, bids and pitches
  • Identify technical issues in transactions and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Proactively generate new business and revenue opportunities

  • Deliver personal billing performance aligned to role expectations
  • Manage billing, budgets and cost control on assigned instructions

  • Ensure compliance with firm procedures, professional standards, health & safety and risk policies
  • Maintain current knowledge of legislation, case law and market developments
