Join our Omnicare, closed-door pharmacy as a Lead Pharmacy Technician in our Back End department and help us deliver best customer support to our long-term care, assisted living, and chronic care customers.Day In The Life:As a Lead Pharmacy Technician, you will work to lead and support the back-end pharmacy technician team by ensuring proper preparation of medications to be dispensed by the pharmacist team. Our back-end team focuses on order fulfillment including packaging and dispensing of medication, reviewing delivery orders and bins for accuracy, and coordinating stock rotations. Additional tasks and responsibilities include:Leading and assisting Pre-Pack, Picking, Staging, Automated Dispensing, Purchasing, Inventory, Returns/Credits, and Delivery departments toward their primary objectivesProviding regular and timely feedback on pharmacy technician performancePartnering with pharmacy leaders on team training plans and collaborating with field training teams as neededAssisting in orientation, training, and education programs for all controlled substances in accordance with policies, procedures, state, and federal lawsThe Team:Omnicare, a CVS Health Company, provides care to those in skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and chronic care settings.Although Omnicare pharmacies are not open to the public, you’ll work amongst great colleagues in a supportive environment aligned with the company’s mission, allowing our customers to focus on giving their patients the best care.Required Qualifications:Certification/licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state lawOne (1) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experiencePreferred Qualifications:Additional Skills/Experience, but not Required:Prior experience in the long-term care industryPrior experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service settingPTCB National CertificationEducation:Verifiable High School Diploma or GEDAnticipated Weekly Hours40Time TypeFull timePay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:$18.50 - $38.82This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.
