It’s a space for people who are curious, credible, and confident in making their voice heard Purpose of the Role The CRD is responsible for shaping our policy and reputational environment toprotect our license to operate, unlock long-term growth and enhance Diageo’sreputation.Reporting directly to the Corporate Relations director for Southeast Asia, the role is responsible for executing the Global CR Strategy within the local context of the Thailand market.It is a trusted partner to the Thailand General Manager, the leadership team andother functional heads in the execution of the Global CR Strategy, locally adapted where needed to ensure it is relevant and impactful to the local context and the market’s strategic priorities.Role Responsibilities1. Navigate and shape the external policy and regulatory environment toprotect and enable Diageo's long-term growth in Thailand. Leadproactive engagement with government, regulators, industryassociations, and other key stakeholders to influence policy outcomes,mitigate business risks, and unlock commercial opportunities acrossexcise and customs, international trade and market access, alcoholregulation, and public health policy. Specific to Thailand, this means:Shape the future regulatory landscape by influencing the development of subordinate regulations under the Alcohol Beverage Control Act, enabling responsible marketing/commercial communications while safeguarding Diageo's license to operate.Drive licensing and zoning reform by advocating for a modernized regulatory framework that supports responsible retailing and unlocks strategic commercial opportunities. Advance tariff liberalization, including through Thailand–UK economic cooperation and broader FTA initiatives, to improve market access, strengthen Thailand's competitiveness, and support Diageo's long-term growth.2. Deliver internal and external corporate communications. This includesDiageo’s cultural transformation agenda (purpose, behaviours), mediarelations, communications support to public policy and societycampaigns, and issues and crises comms.3. Develop and implement society agenda consistent with Diageo’s Spiritof Progress strategy where the main focus in Thailand is promotingpositive and responsible drinking, particularly in partnership with thewider industry, government and other stakeholders.4. Own and build trusted stakeholder relationships including government,trade associations and other industry bodies, social aspectsorganisations and civil society / NGOs.Qualifications and Experience Required10+ years in CR/relevant roles ideally in highly regulated sectors for a multinational, large organisation, trade association or agencyStrong leadership experience: partnering with senior business leaders (including at MD/GM level), leading small agile CR teams and ability to execute through trade associationsAbility to operate in matrix structure, including successfully implementing global strategies/initiatives at local market level, highly preferredStrong capabilities and background in public policy, government relations and/or strategic communications Working with Us Flexibility is key to our success. Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years in CR/relevant roles ideally in highly regulated sectors for a multinational, large organisation, trade association or agency (experience, 10 years)
  • Strong leadership experience: partnering with senior business leaders (including at MD/GM level), leading small agile CR teams and ability to execute through trade associations (experience)
  • Ability to operate in matrix structure, including successfully implementing global strategies/initiatives at local market level, highly preferred (experience)
  • Strong capabilities and background in public policy, government relations and/or strategic communications (experience)
