Job Description :About the Function: Corporate Relations (CR) is where we shape how the world sees Diageo, and how we show up in it. It’s a space for people who are curious, credible, and confident in making their voice heard About the role Roles in this job family have expertise in developing and managing media and public relations. They maintain and develop relationships with external stakeholders such as governmental institutions to represent Diageo’s interests and respond to key consultations.Key Responsibilities:Senior professionals are individual contributorsRequires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplinesHas knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate the company in the marketActs as a resource for other team members; may lead projects with limited risks and resource requirementsSolves problems by taking a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of other sources of informationImpacts achievement of activities within own team and other related teams; works within broad guidelines and policiesExplains complex, difficult and/or sensitive information; works to build consensus Experience/skills required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Political Sciences, Economics, Social Science, or other business-related subjectGood understanding of the Southern African policy and political landscape as well as legislative framework Working with Us Flexibility is key to our success. Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Political Sciences, Economics, Social Science, or other business-related subject (degree in equivalent in political sciences)
  • Good understanding of the Southern African policy and political landscape as well as legislative framework (experience)
