The impact you will have in this role:The Lead Test Engineer is responsible for independently leading Test Engineering teams. You will be responsible for developing test plans and implementing those plans against the corresponding test procedures. You will be accountable for the development, release, and maintenance of test procedures.You will be a part of ETE team - The Enterprise Test Engineering ("ETE") family is responsible for ensuring that all applications and systems meet defined quality standards. The ETE family encompasses three major areas including (a) functional testing, (b) non-functional testing, and (c) test architecture and enablement. Other key focuses include regression testing, browser testing, performance testing, capacity and stress testing, resiliency testing, environment management services, and infrastructure testing. Develops, conducts, and evaluates testing processes, working closely with developers to remediate identified system defects. In-depth knowledge of automated testing tools, and quality control and assurance approaches including the creation of reusable foundational test automation framework for the entire organization.Your Primary Responsibilities:Prepare, maintain and execute test cases based on user stories; present results and track defects to closurePrepare, maintain and execute automated test scriptsMaintain traceability from business requirements through test cases to automated scriptsReview test cases / automation approach with stakeholder to ensure comprehensive coverage and obtain feedbackLearn & develop a detailed understanding of the product being delivered and provide the knowledge support needed.Provide guidance to colleagues related to test coverage and test casesConstruct appropriate end-2-end business scenarios through the application of a broad understanding of business objectives and goalsIdentify dependencies for environmental and data requirements; manage and maintain environment and data.Responsible for process compliance & associated documentationTrack test execution milestones, report on issues and risks with the potential to affect project timelinesAligns risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriatelyQualifications:Minimum of 5 years of experience with automated unit and integration testingBachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience preferredTalents Needed for Success:Experienced in Agile/Waterfall, onsite/offshore work model and coordinationIn depth knowledge of the software implementation lifecycle (specifically the testing model, methodology, and processes),Experience with Test Engineering methodologies and Test Automation Frameworks using Selenium and Java.Extensive experience with testing modern scripting language-based components.Experience with front-end & backend testingExperience in writing sophisticated SQL queries.Experience with JIRA, Microfocus ALM, Bitbucket, Git, and JenkinsExperience with test data management is a plusDetailed understanding of smoke testing, black-box, and non-black box testing, as well as regression testingExperience in estimating, prioritizing, and planning testing activitiesRequires the ability to work well with both business clients and technical team and the ability to work independently, both individually and as part of a team.
