Mobility: HybridJob Summary This role is to advance customer service in the preparation and construction of work orders to build a smarter energy future for new Residential Subdivisions and mixed-use developments. The successful candidate has the desire, skills, and abilities to prepare designed distribution work orders and make a difference in the growth and improvement of the electrical distribution system to energize the communities we serve. Engineering Technologist II The Engineering Technologist II position is second level of the non-Engineer degreed technical support role job classification. The Engineering Technologist II applies technical expertise to solve more complex problems and management skills to provide oversight and direction of work in a specific area of expertise, with general supervision. Employees in the Engineering Technologist II position are expected to develop deeper technical skills and the ability to work with an increasing degree of independence.Engineering Technologist I This is the first level of the non-Engineer degreed technical support role job classification. The Engineering Technologist I applies developing technical expertise to solve simple problems, and management skills to provide oversight of work in a specific area of developing expertise, with high direction and close supervision. Incumbents are expected to develop skills in their field of study, and the ability to work with some degree of independence.Responsibilities Work within a team environment and collaborates across multiple work groups to accomplish common goalsApplies technical expertise in the identification, analysis and resolution of problems in area of expertise including but not limited to electrical distribution and other utility systemsIndependently prepares thorough and accurate work orders, technical reports, correspondence, documentation, electrical and mechanical calculations and sketchesCommunicates frequently and consistently with customers both internal and external to ensure satisfactionEnsures accomplishment of business goals and objectives that follow established processes through effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, and monitoring of work activitiesApplies developing level knowledge in preparing thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations and sketchesConducts engineering and related studies and performs design work for field constructionStrives to continually develop, transform and improve job-related, technical and professional knowledge, skills and performanceDevelops positive working relationships to effectively coordinate work activitiesDemonstrates effective verbal and written communication skillsMaintains accurate records and filesSupports the company's goals and represents the company positively and professionally Required/Basic QualificationsBachelor of Science in Engineering or Engineering Technology with no experience, ORAssociate degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology AND two (2) years minimum of experience, ORIn lieu of above degrees and experience listed above, high school diploma/GED AND four (4) years minimum of equivalent experienceORAssociates Degree in Engineering Technology, ORIn lieu of above degrees and experience, high school diploma/GED and two (2) years minimum of equivalent experienceSpecific RequirementsDemonstrated ability to work with a variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds.Good written and oral communication skills.
