We are hiring for Android Engineers at various levels, below you can find more information about the teams we're hiring for: Subscriber Conversion Team: The Subscriber Conversion team owns the surfaces that turn learners into subscribers and keep them subscribed including in-app hooks and paywalls, the purchase flow, pricing and packaging, payments, and subscription partnerships. The team is highly experimental, running a steady stream of A/B tests across iOS, Android, backend, and web, and balances quick optimizations on high-traffic surfaces with larger bets like new tiers and partner offerings. Time Spent Learning Team: The Time Spent Learning team is dedicated to motivating learners to spend more time engaging meaningfully with the Duolingo app. Our mission is to grow genuine, sustained learning time by designing and iterating on the mechanics that motivate consistent, high-effort practice so learners make real progress toward fluency each day. As a small, cross-functional team of product, design, and engineering, we own a metric that shapes learning outcomes for millions of users and get to shape the Duolingo experience. In-App Purchases Team: The IAPs team owns Duolingo’s in-app purchase business: the gem economy, the shop, and avatar cosmetics and collectibles. You’ll build purchase flows and the systems behind them, then prove out what works through experimentation.
