Job Description
Edwards Lifesciences is expanding its global technology capabilities with the launch of a new IT Innovation Hub in Pune, India. The Hub strengthens the technology foundation that supports our business worldwide, working in close partnership with teams across regions to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions at scale.Designed as a long-term investment, the Pune Hub will advance newer digital capabilities such as automation, data, AI, and cloud, and will include roles spanning end user services, application development, and enterprise platform teams.Together, these teams will help Edwards operate more efficientlyand accelerate innovation in support of our mission of advancing patient care.This role is responsible for understanding business gaps/opportunities that can be resolved using AI/ML solutions. Besides, this role requires you to design, develop and test quick AI/ML prototypes that addresses identified business gaps.How you will make an impact:Development and deployment of scalable and efficient AI/ML models both for prototyping purposes as well as for production deployment.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data scientists, software engineers, product managers, business leads) to define requirements and ideate solutions using AI/ML frameworks.Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups and demo prototypes or milestone updates when necessary.Follow existing tools, standards and architectural best practices to ensure quality and scalability of the software is preserved.Maintain, operate and provide technical support on the solutions that have been deployed into production.Drive research and experimentation to explore new AI/ML techniques, tools, and frameworks.Ensure code and model development are well-documented and follow best engineering practices.Other incidental duties.What you’ll need (Required)• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or technical field, 2 years experience Software Development or Engineering demonstrably solid performance in a role working with cross-functional teams (within IT and/or within the business) on enterprise-level or complex/novel system implementations RequiredExperience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Cloud Infrastructure services for model deployment and data storage.Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or similar.What else we look for (Preferred)Experience with machine learning libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Keras, etc.).Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistics, and data structures.Familiarity with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or similar tools is a plus.Solid experience with version control systems (Git) and agile development methodologies.Experience with deep learning techniques (e.g., CNNs, RNNs, GANs, etc.).Knowledge of data engineering practices and tools like Apache Kafka, Airflow, etc.Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.Excellent problem solving skills and debugging skillsStrict attention to detailAbility to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environmentAdhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/controlRecruiting scam alert: Read our notice about potential recruiting scams.
