How you will make an impact: Plan the procurement of the material required to support Customer Demand and New Product introduction, build long run procurement strategy, including cost reduction and strategic partners.Lead and plan materials requirements and place purchase orders from outside suppliers to continuously support production schedules and new product launches, including:Negotiating and forecasting prices and delivery; Monitoring PPV (purchasing price variance)Partnering with the supplier to ensure materials are made to the proper specsLeading cross functional teams to resolve obstacles to meeting the schedule, including, but not limited to, resolving issues with non-conforming materials, unclear specifications or vendor capacity constraintsAnalyzing current EW and VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) levels to determine if VMI release is warranted, and communicate inventory and future requirements to supplierExpediting purchase orders as required. Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Purchasing / Procurement within a startup or technology company. (experience, 5 years)
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end procurement processes, including receiving purchase requests, obtaining quotations (RFQs), negotiating with suppliers, supplier selection, issuing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and processing invoices through approval and payment with the Finance department.   • Experience negotiating with local and international suppliers. (experience)
