Eli Lilly Italia is looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering team at the Sesto Fiorentino (FI) site. The role is dedicated to the Formulation & Component Preparation area of our pre-filled syringes production. Working side by side with the production teams, you will be hands-on from day one: on the shop floor, on the equipment, on the problems that come up during the shift. It is the fastest way to build real technical expertise on systems operating in a highly regulated pharmaceutical environment, and to own it.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the Subject Matter Expert for all the systems under your responsibility within Formulation & Component PreparationWork with the Operational Support Team to ensure Work Orders are correctly closed within due dates and maintenance programs are properly implementedAnalyze KPIs across Preventive Maintenance, WO execution, HSE, Quality, and Data Integrity, and evaluate projects to improve themIdentify anomalies and issues occurring on the systems, and work with the team to solve them and avoid recurrencesPropose upgrade and revamping initiatives to make the systems more reliable and more efficientEnsure top efficiency, availability, and performance of the systemsDevelop, integrate, and review SOPs and Technical Assessments for the systems under your responsibilityLead and manage projects and changes regarding the systems under your responsibilityPlan Shut Down activities and work with the Maintenance Manager during the Shut Down period to complete all assigned tasksInteract with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and propose an adequate plan of actionInterface with external contractors in case of needs or to involve them in projects when requiredActively promote and support an interdependent HSE culture, with attention to Quality and Data Integrity in every activityBasic RequirementsMaster's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical)1 year of experience in engineering, maintenance, or technical support, preferably in a complex industrial setting (internship or thesis experience in a pharmaceutical is a plus)English fluency (B2+)Attention to HSE aspectsAttention to Quality and Data Integrity aspectsAdditional Skills/Preferences:Knowledge of maintenance basics and its metricsKnowledge of main utilities equipmentKnowledge of PED directive and other regulations related to machinery (Machinery Directive and similar)Attitude to teamwork and problem solvingLilly is dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities to actively engage in the workforce, ensuring equal opportunities when vying for positions. The anticipated wage for this position is €37,500 - €96,800Full-time equivalent employees may also be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance). Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical) (degree in engineering)
  • 1 year of experience in engineering, maintenance, or technical support, preferably in a complex industrial setting (internship or thesis experience in a pharmaceutical is a plus) (experience, 1 years)
  • English fluency (B2+) (experience)
  • Attention to HSE aspects (experience)
  • Attention to Quality and Data Integrity aspects (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert for all the systems under your responsibility within Formulation & Component Preparation

  • Propose upgrade and revamping initiatives to make the systems more reliable and more efficient
  • Ensure top efficiency, availability, and performance of the systems
  • Develop, integrate, and review SOPs and Technical Assessments for the systems under your responsibility
  • Lead and manage projects and changes regarding the systems under your responsibility
  • Plan Shut Down activities and work with the Maintenance Manager during the Shut Down period to complete all assigned tasks
  • Interact with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and propose an adequate plan of action
  • Interface with external contractors in case of needs or to involve them in projects when required
