We are looking for an experienced Medical Affairs Professional who is complementary to the current team with strong strategic, cross-functional teamwork and leadership skills to translate science into real impact for patients and HCPs. Responsibility for specific activities will be agreed within the team and include collaboration in the development and execution of the medical plan in line with product/disease state strategy, project/budget management, thought leader engagement, identifying data gaps for getting or maintaining product access, training of sales force.In this role, you will join the Cardiometabolic Health (CMH) Medical Affairs Team and report to the Therapeutic Area Lead CMH. You will collaborate closely with other Medical Affairs Professionals responsible for diabetes and weight management.RESPONSIBILITIESIn this role, you will put General Practitioners (GPs) at the center, as GPs play a pivotal role in the care of people living with cardiometabolic health conditions. Your main responsibility will be to strengthen collaboration within the cardiometabolic health cross-functional team by aligning strategic and medical content, ensuring GPs are engaged as true partners — actively involving them in medical projects, gathering their insights, and supporting their continuous education.You will lead specific projects from concept to completion, keeping the broader team informed on progress and objectives along the way. Beyond GP engagement, you will also support pharmacist engagement and patient-centered education initiatives.In addition, you will disseminate local scientific data by presenting at Lilly-organized meetings, independent national and regional conferences, and internal staff meetings.You also provide expert medical support to all aspects of the local business, to ultimately enhance the customers' experience in interacting with the company, contribute to the development and review of promotional material, training of the sales force.Business/customer support (pre and post launch support)In depth product knowledge and knowledge of therapeutic area and the treatment armamentariumUnderstand and anticipate the scientific information needs of all local/regional customersContribute to the development of medical strategies to support brand commercialization activities by working closely with the global Medical Affairs and brand teams, Global and local Real-World Evidence (RWE), Corporate Affairs and Clinical Trial Management personnelContribute actively on an ongoing basis to the strategic planning for currently marketed brandsBy offering scientific and creative input, contribute to the development, review, and approval of promotional materials for the brand teamSupport training for sales representatives, and other medical representativesBecome familiar with market evolution and potential influence on the medical interventions for the productScientific Data Dissemination/ExchangeKnowledge of and compliance with local laws and global policies with respect to data dissemination and interactions with external health care professionalsAddress the unsolicited scientific information needs of HCPs (if they cannot be answered by Medinfo service)Data sharing and contribution to educational meetings by providing topics/content, do the speaker briefings or being a speakerOrganize advisory board meetingsDevelopment of slide sets and publications (abstracts, posters, manuscripts)Establish and maintain appropriate collaborations and relationships with scientific experts and thought leadersDevelop and maintain appropriate collaborations and relationships with relevant professional societiesProvide congress support (for example, availability to answer questions at exhibits, provide oral and poster presentations, staff medical booth, meet thought leaders, and participate in customer events)Clinical ResearchReview strategic alignment of local Investigator Initiated Trial (IIT) proposals and guide in submission of the proposalIdentify data gaps and generate RWE for getting or maintaining local accessScientific/Technical Expertise and continued developmentBe aware of current trends and projections for clinical practice and access in the therapeutic area(s) relevant to the products, both near term (1-2 years) and longer term (3-5 years).Critically read and evaluate the relevant medical literature; know the status and data from competitive products, and keep updated with medical and other scientific developments relevant to the productAttend, contribute and participate in medical congresses/scientific symposiaGeneral ResponsibilitiesMedical leadership to foster collaboration and optimize productivity between the cross-functional CMH teamFollow-up of the project budgetActively set and meet individual professional development goals and contribute to the development of others by being an active source of coaching and feedback to co-workersParticipate in local and international internal initiativesBeing an ambassador of both patients and the Lilly BrandPROFILE REQUIREMENTSMaster’s degree in scientific disciplinePhD is an assetMinimum five years of medical affairs experience, ideally including launch experienceCMH expertise and an established network are an advantageNative French speaker with fluency in English and DutchSkilled in identifying and evaluating scientific literatureAbility to translate scientific data into clear, meaningful content for customer communication and engagementStrong leadership skills and ability to partner effectively across Marketing, Sales, PRA and RWEExcellent interpersonal communication, teamwork, project management and proactive problem-solving skillsAbility to collaborate effectively and share information within a team environmentAbility to manage a high workload and prioritize complex, broad-ranging deliverablesStrong presentation abilitiesProven ability to balance scientific and business prioritiesProven ability to build trust, influence others and foster a positive working environment across and within functionsProficient computer skillsLilly is dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities to actively engage in the workforce, ensuring equal opportunities when vying for positions.
