You'll report directly to our General Manager and play a hands-on role in shaping how our team learns, grows, and stays safe on the job. If you've trained or mentored in a warehouse or distribution environment, this role is built for you.What You'll DoLead new hire orientation and map out training schedulesFacilitate hands-on training for DC associates across all departmentsTeach warehouse safety requirements the right way, every timeProvide one-on-one coaching on job-specific tasks and WMS processesAudit work to keep every team aligned with SOPs and training standardsPartner regularly with the GM and department leaders to spot ways to improveTrack each associate's training progress accurately and consistentlyOwn all Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) training — initial certification, recertification, and accident retrainingKeep safety certifications current with recurring refresher trainingMentor associates and help them build confidence in their rolesWhat You Bring2+ years training or mentoring in a warehouse/distribution setting (preferred)Hands-on experience operating and training on forklifts, pallet jacks, and other powered equipmentA track record of building strong safety programsExperience with Ferguson or similar supply chain operationsFlexibility to train across multiple shiftsSharp organizational skills — you know how to prioritize, delegate, and manage your timeGreat listening skills and the ability to follow throughComfort with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and our learning system (ELM)A knack for building engaging, dynamic presentationsConfidence speaking to groups and connecting with people at every levelA team-first attitude and strong customer service instinctsA drive to keep making things better, one process at a timeWhy You'll Love Working HereWe believe taking care of our people is just as important as the work we do together.
