If you have a love of meeting people and providing great customer service, coupled with an interest in contributing directly to the bottom line of a multi-billion-dollar organization, this is the position for youShift: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:30pmPay: Starts at $23 per hour and could be more based on experienceResponsibilitiesAs a Valve Technician, you will be responsible for the following, including, but not limited to:Responsible for assembly of all automated packageFollow all established standard operating procedures for valve automation including maintaining a safe and organized workspace and observing necessary safety precautions during assembly, testing, storage, and transfer of productFollow all proper procedures for set up, use and maintenance of tools, and equipment in the automation centerCourteous interaction and communication with inside and outside sales, management, and warehouse personnelProfessional interaction with customers when addressing questions and concerns about automated packagesTroubleshoot automated packages, in house and in the field, to perform necessary work and repairsAssist with developing automated valve sales training programPerform functional automated valve testing, record, and store dataWork closely with inspectors to meet customer demandsWillingness to travel up to 25% is required. Travel may include overnight stays for field service projects and support at other Ferguson locationsMay be responsible for providing driver duties and responsibilities QualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess the following:Must be at least 21 years of age. Valid state issued license is required. Follow all DOT standards and regulations Must currently have, acquire, and/or maintain a valid DOT Medical card in order to meet driver requirements. 3 to 5 years experience is preferred but not requiredValve & actuator industrial experience highly preferredBasic knowledge of computersAbility to read and understand customer technical data and schematicsAbility to multi-task and meet order deadlinesKnowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory controlBe goal oriented, self-motivated, and able to meet deadlines, build relationships, and enjoy a team atmospherePossess a positive attitudeExcellent communication, time management, and organizational skillsA self-motivator and have an ambition to succeedEnthusiastic, courteous, and articulateAbility to learn quickly*Pre-employment drug and background screening required*At Ferguson, we care for each other.
