Job Description:Actuary The RoleBased in Bermuda, this role is a key member of the actuarial team, reporting to the Valuation Actuary. The role will be responsible for developing and maintaining actuarial models supporting the liability valuation and reserving under the Bermuda EBS framework and US GAAP, as well as contributing to the overall valuation reporting process.Support end-to-end EBS and US GAAP valuation process, including quarterly and year-end reportingAssist in the design, governance and documentation of the valuation processProvide additional actuarial support for the Company’s Investment, Risk, and ALM functionsSupport the Company’s multi-year financial planning processProvide support to the Approved Actuary and external auditors in meeting the reporting requirementsEnsure an accurate transition and smooth integration of pricing models into the Company’s corporate model frameworkOther actuarial support as appropriateThe Expertise and Skills You Bring5+ years of life and annuity insurance and/or reinsurance experienceFellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA)Familiar with US life and annuity product designs and featuresExperienced MG-ALFA user with a comprehensive actuarial modeling skillsetStrong US GAAP and Bermuda solvency framework experienceStrong interpersonal skills with a collaborative styleAbility to effectively prioritize and manage workload with a sense of urgencyAbility to be a team player, assisting where needed across various corporate functions to achieve operational goalsPreferred Skills:Valuation and capital managementAsset-liability management (ALM) experienceFinancial reporting and analysis, with familiarity in regulatory reporting frameworksActuarial modeling expertise, including model governance, controls and validationInvestment knowledge relevant to life reinsuranceThe TeamThis is an outstanding opportunity to join a newly formed team at Soteria Reinsurance within Fidelity Investments!
