Job Description:Note: Fidelity will not provide immigration sponsorship for this position.The RoleThe Vice President, Advanced Planning is a client-facing role that serves as a financial planning and estate planning subject matter expert for Fidelity’s high net worth clients and their advisors. The Advanced Planner leads end-to-end financial and estate planning engagements, utilizing eMoney and other planning tools to deliver comprehensive client solutions. In addition, the role is supported by an Advanced Planning Analyst, and together as a team, support advanced planning client engagements throughout a geographic region. We primarily use video technology to function remotely in addition to meeting clients and advisors in investor centers across the region.We also collaborate with the Advanced Planning team both virtually and in-person to maintain and increase our collective impact on the clients we serve. Travel is typically expected between 5% and 20% of the time, depending on physical proximity to regional sites and investor centers. The role is remote but does require residing within commuting distance to an Investor Center or Regional Center in the states of CA, WA or CO.The Expertise and Skills You BringBachelor’s Degree with any of the following designations preferred: CPA, JD, M.T., LLM in taxation, CFA or CFP®13-15 years overall work experience with 7+ years of trusts and estate planning, income tax planning or succession planning work experience within a public accounting, law practice, or wealth management industry environmentFINRA Series 7 and 66 obtained within 90 days of employmentRetirement, financial, investment, and insurance planning requiredEstate Planning, family wealth transfer planning, wills/trusts, income taxation, and trust and estate taxation knowledge requiredAbility to create and review financial plans using tools such as eMoneyExperience working with business owners, start-ups/Pre IPO companies is a plusProven ability to work independently and lead an assigned territory to drive high-net-worth client engagementCan effectively coach and develop junior team membersDemonstrated ability to communicate complex subjects clearly and effectivelyStrong emotional intelligence with a proven ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with clients and their advisorsClient-first mindset and practical approach to delivering planning solutionsAbility to work independently, manage competing priorities, and balance multiple tasks while maintaining efficiency.Positive, professional demeanor and apply a thoughtful approach to achieving successful client outcomesThe TeamWe are part of the Advanced Planning Leadership Development team collaborating with Fidelity’s advisors and their high-net-worth clients to provide a comprehensive financial planning experience that is tailored to each client’s unique financial goals and family dynamic. Fidelity’s Onsite Working ModelFidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.The base salary range for this position is $118,000-226,000 USD per year. Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
