In this role, you will support the daily care and management of horses, ensuring the highest standards of welfare, cleanliness, and organisation across the yard. Responsibilities

  • Assist with the daily care of horses, including feeding, watering, grooming, and mucking out
  • Prepare horses for riding, exercise, or competition, including tacking up and untacking
  • Ensure stables, yards, and equipment are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and organisation
  • Support with turning horses out and bringing them in safely
  • Monitor horse health and wellbeing, reporting any concerns promptly
  • Maintain tack and equipment, ensuring everything is clean, safe, and stored correctly
  • Assist riders, trainers, and clients with professionalism and a positive attitude
  • Help manage stock levels of feed, bedding, and yard supplies
  • Follow all yard health, safety, and biosecurity procedures at all times
  • Contribute to the smooth day‑to‑day running of the yard.
