Here, you will discover more other than fun!About the roleThe Security department is active 24 hours per day and is responsible for the day to day patrolling of public and employee areas ensuring that losses from whatever source and by whatever means are minimized, security policies maintained and Health and Safety regulations observed.What you will doPatrol the public areas regularly, including the guest floors and back of house areas, together with perimeter of the hotel and grounds, car park and pool to prevent intrusion by unauthorized people or undesirables.Challenge any people discovered during such patrols who arouse suspicion and check their credentials, in a discreet manner, in keeping with the style of the property.Control the staff entrance and conduct regular on-the-spot baggage checks of staff and contractors exiting the building.Ensure, during routine patrols, that health and safety regulations are being observed and that all fire regulations are met.Routinely check the security of all storerooms and offices.Document any crime or incident which has taken place, including the completion and filing of theft/ loss/ damage reports and electronic security logs.Document and investigate any incidents reported. Liaise with the Health and Safety Officer, to ensure that steps needed to prevent recurrence are affected.Provide advice to employees and management of the hotel on loss prevention and contribute to departmental training.What you bringAbility to work well under pressure and difficult situations.Exhibits excellent guest relations/employee skills and should make a good appearance and exhibit the characteristics that would be sought in any management employee of the property.
