Join GDIT as a Disaster Recovery Coordinator for a career where your growth is just as important as the mission you support.MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT:As a Disaster Recovery Coordinator, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of USSTRATCOM. USSTRATCOM is a Combatant Command responsible for strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, and enterprise IT services essential to national security. It oversees Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO), Global Strike, and Missile Threat Assessments, working closely with other Combatant Commands, Services, and defense agencies. SCITLS will be a key component that will ensure mission success and the safety of the U.S. and its allies by providing 24/7 IT services and network support for NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and SAP/SAR environment.You will play a crucial role in providing support in the following areas:Develop and maintain assessment, planning, and execution processes aligned with ITIL 4 continuity managementResponsible for coordination and execution of all DR/COOP activities including preparation and after exercise lessons learned.Support COOP planning, perform DR testing, and coordinate with owners of new systems to ensure DR requirements are considered and disaster recovery plans are made.Enhance and maintain DR/COOP plans and documentation and validates recovery capabilities through periodic testing, including targeted recovery tests that are conducted throughout the year.Perform DR/COOP exercises, which include FISMA system security tests and tabletop exercises.Performs quarterly testing of alert and notification procedures and systems for any type of emergency.WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree3+ years of experienceSecurity Clearance Level: Must have a current/active TS/SCI clearance.Required Certifications: ITIL 4 Foundation certified within 9 months of startLocation: Offutt AFB, NEStrong knowledge of Disaster Recovery (DR), Business Continuity (BC), and COOP methodologiesExpertise in planning, coordinating, and executing DR/COOP activities, including full‑scale exercises and tabletop testsAbility to support COOP planning for new systems, ensuring disaster recovery requirements are identified and incorporatedExperience conducting FISMA‑aligned system security tests as part of DR/COOP exercisesSkill in performing targeted recovery tests, annual DR validations, and periodic failover/restore drillsAbility to maintain, update, and audit DR/COOP plans, documentation, runbooks, and proceduresProficiency in alerting and emergency notification systems; ability to conduct quarterly testingUnderstanding of IT infrastructure, system dependencies, and recovery strategies (e.g., failover, replication, backup restoration)Familiarity with enterprise change management processes that can impact DR/COOP readinessGDIT IS YOUR PLACE:Excellent customizable health benefits (Medical, Dental and Vision)401K with company matchEducational Assistance and eLearningInternal mobility team dedicated to employee advancementRewards and Recognition programsInnovative and collaborative environment encouraging highly motivated critical thinking#SCITLSThe likely salary range for this position is $86,700 - $117,300. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
