The OPTN Subject Matter Expert (SME) provides high-level policy, operational, and technical guidance to the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) to ensure robust oversight of the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN). The SME acts as a primary advisor on organ allocation frameworks and regulatory integrity, bridging the gap between federal mandates and clinical operations.
