Job Description SummaryThis is a challenging role that involves performing mechanical and visual inspection tasks. These will include the set-up and use of electronic gauging equipment including all conventional and unconventional mechanical inspection devices such as wax and trace, rotary tables. and surface finish measuring devices. We’re hiring an Inspector B experienced with CNC machining who can set up and use electronic gauging and precision measuring instruments, perform surface plate inspections, and train teammates. Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and perform mechanical and visual inspections using electronic gaging equipment and precision instruments (wax and trace, rotary tables, surface finish devices).Perform surface plate inspections and repetitive measuring operations; document findings and complete inspection reports.Read and inspect to engineering drawings, inspection planning, and standards (may include in-machine inspections).Train and mentor other inspectors; actively participate in team-based LEAN environment.Maintain good housekeeping, adhere to safety and quality standards, and assist with part marking, wash, and dry-lube as needed.Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent.This role may encounter high risk or hazardous operations and/or include working shifts beyond a standard workweek. As such, a requirement of the role is to be at least 18 years of age by the time of joining.Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience setting up/operating at least TWO of the following: CNC drilling, milling, grinding, turning, or broaching — this is a required qualification.1+ year reading and interpreting mechanical blueprints and/or production planning.2+ years using precision measuring instruments.Able to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs with ergonomic proceduresPreferred Prior aircraft engine machining experience.Familiarity with Microsoft Office.Experience working in high-performing, team-based manufacturing environmentsThis role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
