Job Description SummaryYou will set up and weld high temperature alloys in the repair and repair development of turbine engine component; using Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) in full compliance to repair manual requirements. You will need to perform simple to complex welding. From automating processes to leveraging smart factory technologies, robotics, and additive manufacturing, GE Aerospace is shaping the future of aviation at GE Aerospace Engine Services Singapore (GEAESS).GEAESS is our largest site for engine component Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO), responsible for more than 60% of our global repair volume.Role Overview:Apply necessary gas back-up and chilled bars as required to perform efficient weld repairPerform manual and laser weld of all products with different weld configurationsIdentify and replace basic fixture/tooling due to wear and tearSimple refining of welding parametersPerform scheduled maintenance & housekeeping tasksThe Ideal Candidate: Minimum GCE 'O' level with 3 years of relevant experience in TIG WeldingRequired Qualifications:Minimum GCE ‘O’ level with 3 years of relevant experiencePreferably NITEC/Higher NITEC in weldingRelevant TIG certificates; orPreferably CAAS approval in TIG Welding/General Welding or equivalentAble to read and understand the manufacturing operation sheets and standard operation procedures in EnglishPreferred Qualifications:Knowledge of measuring instrument, TIG WeldingMust be able to fully comprehend process parameters and consistently produce good quality partsAbility to read & understand technical drawings/instructionsA team playerAdditional Information:At GE Aerospace, we are always searching for great talent. Required Qualifications

  • Minimum GCE ‘O’ level with 3 years of relevant experience (experience, 3 years)
  • Preferably NITEC/Higher NITEC in welding (experience)
  • Relevant TIG certificates; or (experience)
  • Preferably CAAS approval in TIG Welding/General Welding or equivalent (experience)
  • Able to read and understand the manufacturing operation sheets and standard operation procedures in English (experience)
