We’re looking for an Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Maintenance Technician to help support advanced aerospace manufacturing operations focused on next-generation Aerospace technologies.Job DescriptionQualifications:Technical diploma or High School Diploma, associate degree, or apprenticeship in Electrical/Instrumentation or equivalent certificationAt least five (5) years industrial E&I maintenance (manufacturing, processing plant, utilities, or lab environment etc.) performing instrument calibrations and equipment maintenance.Must have strong electrical, instrumentation and related calibration skills for field devices and control loops.Ability to speak, read, and write in EnglishGood verbal and written communication skillsGood math skillsMust be well-organized with good attention to detailDisplay strong work ethics and positive attitudeAdaptable and dependable with ability to follow direction and work cooperation with othersProblem-solving, teamwork, ability to work independentlyMust maintain a helpful and professional attitude and appearanceMust be US citizen and obtain security clearance (Refer other Job postings) Key Responsibilities:What you’ll doAs an E&I Maintenance Technician, you will support a wide range of production and facility equipment with a strong focus on electrical systems, instrumentation, controls, and overall equipment reliability.Instrumentation & ControlsCalibrate and maintain process instrumentation including temperature, pressure, vacuum, flow, pH, and gas detection devicesTroubleshoot and repair process instrumentation, electrical systems, and related manufacturing equipmentInstall and support instrumentation devices, field wiring, and control system componentsAssist with DAQ systems, PLC-based controls, PC-based control systems, and field I/ODiagnose faults using tools such as multimeters, loop calibrators, and other electrical/instrumentation test equipmentRead and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, PLC I/O lists, and equipment manualsGeneral MaintenancePerform maintenance on production equipment, furnaces, utilities, and facility systemsInstall, replace, and repair components such as motors, pumps, drives, belts, filters, gears, chains, and valvesTroubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical issuesSupport equipment installation activities, including utility hookups, alignment, and levelingApply cross-functional maintenance skills to help keep operations running smoothlyReliability, Root Cause & Continuous ImprovementHelp identify and eliminate equipment issues to improve uptime, reliability, and process performanceParticipate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) effortsPartner with operators, engineers, process owners, and maintenance teammates to solve problems quickly and effectivelyRecommend improvements to instrumentation, maintenance practices, and equipment performanceRespond to issues with urgency to minimize production downtimeDocumentation & Asset ManagementAccurately document maintenance work; Complete work orders, calibration records, maintenance history, and required paperwork on timeMaintain clear, organized records of repairs, inspections, and completed maintenance activitiesSafety, Compliance & Work EnvironmentFollow all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) requirements, including LOTO, permits, and risk assessmentsWork in compliance with applicable electrical codes, aerospace quality requirements, and site proceduresSafely work in an industrial environment that may include noise, heights, confined spaces, and varying shiftsSupport contractor activity as needed, including permits, technical guidance, and equipment isolationComplete all required company, regulatory, and site-specific trainingSupport overtime and weekend coverage when needed to meet business demands#LI-AW2Required Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED from an accredited school or institution, or Technical diploma, associate degree, apprenticeship, or equivalent certification in Electrical, Instrumentation, Industrial Maintenance, or a related fieldMinimum 5 years of industrial E&I maintenance experience in manufacturing, processing, utilities, laboratory, or similar industrial environmentsU.S. citizenship and ability to obtain required security clearanceDesired Characteristics:Experience working in aerospace advanced manufacturing, thermal processing, or highly regulated industrial environmentsFamiliarity with PLC/DCS systems, VFDs, DAQ systems, and industrial control systemsExperience supporting furnaces, process equipment, or utility systemsWorking knowledge of AS9100/AS9110, calibration practices, and quality system requirementsA strong troubleshooter who can analyze issues and take actionDependable, adaptable, and willing to step in where neededA team player with a positive, professional attitudeFocused and organized, with a strong sense of ownershipTransparent and collaborative, sharing information clearly and constructivelyHumble and eager to learn, with respect for teammates and standard workCommitted to safe work practices and operational excellenceGE Aerospace offers comprehensive benefits and programs to support your health and, along with programs like HealthAhead, your physical, emotional, financial and social wellbeing.
