Job Description SummaryJob DescriptionThe Lead Facilities Specialist develops practical and innovative ways to identify and meet goals. In this role you will be responsible for work that is less defined in scope, utilize your understanding and experience to execute business objectives, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.ResponsibilitiesPlan projects for facility improvements from concept to completionCreate and implement an effective preventative maintenance program and ensures that all compliance standards are maintained and regulatory maintenance is executedForecast budget for the Facilities department and monitor throughout the yearSupervise a team of hourly maintenance technicians spread across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shiftsCoordinate facilities initiatives with Operations team to support productionEnsure that equipment and services purchased are acceptable quality and cost effectiveDevelop and coordinate department proposals for facilities projectsBe on call for all facilities related emergenciesEnsure that all compliance standards are maintained and regulatory maintenance is executedNegotiate, maintain, and review contracts for all third party contractors, cleaners, waste removal, vending, recycling, security provider, etc.Provide technical support and guidance to controls technicians for out-of-the-ordinary electronics problems -Work with cross functional team to perform machine modifications, make control logic changes, and provide updated training and documentation as requiredWork directly with Lead Maintenance Specialist and fill-in or replace during absencesRequired Minimum QualificationsAssociate’s degree or a high school diploma/GED from an accredited school or institutionGE Desired CharacteristicsAt least 4 years of experience in an HVAC or other Facilities Maintenance position within a manufacturing or shop environment)At least 5 additional years of experience in electro-hydraulic machinery, major machine run-offs / installations, and maintenance repairsProficiency with control software and PLC'sSoftware ProgrammingStrong knowledge of Environmental, Health & Safety policy and procedureAbility to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlinesStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to bring assignments to a successful completionSix Sigma training is preferredStrong oral and written communication skillsHumble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn​Transparent: shares critical information, speaks with candor, contributes constructively​Focused: quick learner, strategically prioritizes work, committedLeadership ability: strong communicator, decision-maker, collaborative​Problem solver: analytical-minded, challenges existing processes, critical thinkerGE Aerospace offers comprehensive benefits and programs to support your health and, along with programs like HealthAhead, your physical, emotional, financial and social wellbeing.
