Job Description SummaryThe Next Generation Products (NGP) organization is responsible for the design, analysis, integration, and support of future military engine products. The NGP Lead Design Engineer owns the design, development, and qualification of advanced military products, specifically hot structural components. The engineer is responsible for executing technical design tasks including analysis and manufacturing support of assigned hardware in addition to program management of hardware cost, weight, and schedule deliverables. This position reports to an engineering manager in Evendale, OH with the opportunity to integrate with various internal and external engineering disciplines.Teams in the Next Generation Products space are energized with a passion for the aerospace industry and are devoted to supporting our military customers. Preference will be given to candidates who currently hold US Government Security Clearance.Desired CharacteristicsBachelor's or advanced degree in mechanical, aerospace or similar engineering from an accredited universityMinimum of 5 years of experience in a mechanical design engineering position.Possess an existing US Government Security ClearanceHighly motivated, passionate about the NGP mission, and with strong communication skillsDemonstrated ability to analyze and solve technical challenges with sound reasoning, project planning, execution, and documentationExperience with finite element analysis software such as ANSYS and 3D modelling software such as NX UnigraphicsExperience with structural component design and analysis#securityclearanceThis role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
