Job Description SummaryJob DescriptionFacilities Maintenance TechnicianWorking at our Beavercreek Site:GE Aerospace operations have been part of the Beavercreek community for over 70 years! Our Beavercreek facility manufactures gas turbine tubes, ducts, and manifolds, and also has complex machining, fabrication and investment casting capabilities. Product engineering, new product development and testing is performed on site. This facility also does repair and overhaul of tubes, ducts, and manifolds. We have been awarded OSHAS’s highest safety rating. Role Overview:Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment such as induction vacuum furnaces, electric furnaces and natural gas kilns, steam autoclaves, leaching autoclaves, robotic shell line operation, mixers, injection machines and cure ovens.Repair and maintain mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic components of production machines and equipment, following technical specifications using hand tools, power tools, or precision measuring instruments. Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems and componentsBasic troubleshooting and maintenance of plant HVAC, chillers and rooftop units.Study building plans, schematics and working drawings to determine work aids required and sequence of repairs and/or installations.Support cell moves, in-house rigging efforts and building projectsOrder and track material required for repairsOperate material handling equipment such as forklifts, scissor, boom, manlifts.Comply with LOTO and other safety regulationsThe Ideal Candidate:Willingness to learn and be coachableAbility to keep team informed of work progress, timelines, and issuesExperience reading technical manualsDevelop statements of workAble to read and interpret technical manualsAbility to work alone with little direction or supervisionTeam player in resolving complex corrective maintenanceStrong attention to detailCustomer service to fellow co-workers, internal customers, contractors, OEM representatives, techniciansStays punctual and on-time in regard to attendance and required meetingsRequired Qualifications:High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)Two years prior experience in various maintenance disciplinesThis role may encounter high risk or hazardous operations and/or include working shifts beyond a standard workweek.
