Job Description SummaryThe Senior Custom Logic Engineer demonstrates leadership in technology development and innovation, program planning and execution, and process improvement across multiple products or a business segment. In this role, you will leverage your experience and expertise to develop design solutions for complex project challenges, create and execute project plans for yourself and the custom logic team, and drive both short-term and long-term business goals.Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesPerform tasks for any portion in the design lifecycle of an FPGA in the Xilinx, Microsemi and other product families.Design FPGA, ASIC and CPLD devices for avionics hardware applications, including innovation resulting in patent applicationsResponsible for VHDL design using appropriate tools to perform design and simulation of the FPGAResponsible for requirements development and management in DOORs along with the preparation of appropriate DO-254 certification artifactsDefine project plans for executing custom logic development, including scheduling and cost management objectivesDevelop bids and proposals and define complex architectures for your product areaUses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in hardware design, manufacturing, or technologyUses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support development recommendationsUses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisionsActs as a resource for colleagues with less experienceMay lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirementsExplains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensusDeveloping persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within fieldResponsible for working multiple projects with multiple teams in parallelEnsure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks, consistent with engineering policies and proceduresRequired QualificationsMust be authorized to work in the United StatesBachelor's degree from an accredited university/college in Electrical or Computer Engineering with a minimum of 8 years of professional experiences in design.Desired CharacteristicsMaster of Science in Electrical or Computer Science EngineeringMinimum of 5 years of experience in computing product development containing cSoC device architecturesPreferred candidate has experience with Zynq and Polarfire devices in system on chip or system on module applications with the knowledge of high speed data interfaces and functions used in computing applications such as PCIe, AXI bus, SERDES, DMA, ect.Experience with avionics interfaces and protocols such as MIL-STD-1553, A429, A664, and TSNExperience with Intel Quartus, Lattice Diamond, Microsemi Libero and Xillinx VivadoExperience in VHDL and UVM Test BenchesExperience with the Mentor Graphics Expedition Enterprise and Hyperlinx PI/SIStrong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programsStrong interpersonal and leadership skillsExperience in the Mil/Aero/avionics, DO-254 and Civil FFA CertificationAbility to break down complex problems and apply critical thinkingAdditional InformationThis position requires U.S. citizenship status.This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Required Qualifications

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States (experience)
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university/college in Electrical or Computer Engineering with a minimum of 8 years of professional experiences in design. (experience, 8 years)

Responsibilities
